Orphan Care Residential Program

“To provide spiritual, physical, and emotional care to orphaned, abandoned, and abused children, or those in dire circumstances, as well as to develop them to be successful contributors to society as a whole in a loving family atmosphere.”

Casa Esperanza of Angels is home to a modern orphan care facility within the church of Christ mission site. All the necessary amenities such as housing, dining, kitchen, utilities installations, study, gathering area, recreation area, an administrative office, and other fixtures are provided for the children and administrative staff.

As of this writing, we already have several children under our care at the Casa Esperanza of Angels orphan care facility which was formally inaugurated and opened last October 23, 2019.

You can help this project by donating funds for the ongoing construction of other orphanage buildings or you can pledge to sponsor a child. These are the current orphanage-related construction projects:

• Perimeter fence
Multipurpose Pavilion
Family Guest Cottage

The Casa Esperanza of Angels Vision for Children in Need

“To provide spiritual, physical, and emotional care to orphaned, abandoned, and abused children, or those in dire circumstances, as well as to develop them to be successful contributors to society as a whole in a loving family atmosphere.”

We are clear about our vision of Casa Esperanza of Angels as a refuge that provides hope and loving care to orphans and children in need in Negros Island (part of the Visayas Islands in central Philippines).

Our aim is to provide spiritual, physical, and mental health care to orphaned children in a compassionate Christian family atmosphere. We want to nurture these children to help them reach their full potential as human beings and become successful contributors to society in the future.

As a charity mission, we are fully aware of the challenges of rearing up children coming from adverse circumstances but with God’s mercy we will accomplish this by simulating a family environment within the orphanage facility where the children can feel loved and a confidence-building sense of belonging.

We envision this mid-sized child care facility to serve children from three years of age until such time as they are self-sufficient unless Philippine law dictates otherwise. Casa Esperanza of Angels (CEA) is a not-for-profit foundation duly registered and licensed to operate by the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The House Parents of Casa Esperanza of Angels

House parents are an integral and crucial part in how we actually run the children’s homes in the orphanage. These are carefully chosen and vetted Christian couples and individuals who share our vision in providing a family environment where our wards can thrive, feel a joyful sense of belonging, and grow up into faithful Christians and well-adjusted human beings.

The Casa Esperanza of Angels orphanage is designed with the welfare of the children under our care in mind. We have seen many charity foster care homes that neglect to take this into consideration and are operated like barracks and factories where the degree of self-loathing and alienation among orphans is heightened. We don’t want that to happen at the CEA facility. Our house parents are always prepared to provide moral and Bible-based spiritual guidance to the children as well as a deep sense of family and connection.

Facility Housing Plan

Casa Esperanza of Angels provides residential care for children in a family setting in multiple on-site homes. Each home houses 8 – 16 children, 2 house parents, and one house assistant. The vision is for the children to grow up in these homes looking up to the house parents as their real parents and family. They receive daily love, care, attention from the house parents and house assistant.

The multiple homes inside the mission simulate a close-knit Christian community. The children are friends with the other children from the other homes that they interact with and go to school with. There are play areas as well as fruit, vegetable, and flowering plant gardens for the children to explore and learn from.

There will be a pavilion for group gatherings such as: meals (some meals will be as a large group and others will be as a family in their homes), entertainment, performances, education, and community outreach programs. The pavilion will also serve as the church of Christ fellowship building open to the public for worship services.

Long range plans include a small school on site for the children of Casa Esperanza of Angels and possibly other children from the community.

How is Casa Esperanza of Angels Different?

Since the orphanage is located inside an actual mission, Casa Esperanza of Angel’s children are constantly exposed to various facets of our work including church of Christ fellowship and teachings, community humanitarian work, sustainability initiatives, and practical life instructions.

They are encouraged to develop their talents and areas of interest to help them pursue their future vocations and contribution to society. Our goal is for them to develop good self-esteem and confidence through this encouragement and support.

Our competitive edge over other similar facilities in the Philippines are the experience of the management team, the solid support and funds from dedicated sponsors, the compliance to all government regulations to develop a strong trust with local governing authorities, interaction with local businesses, and self-sufficiency through farming and other strategies.
