Casa Esperanza of Angels – Philippine Mission is currently seeking individual applicants for the position of Minister (Full time position) in our mission/church of Christ congregation in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental.
Job Description
What is the job of the Minister?
The Minister in our congregation of the church of Christ is tasked to:
- Lead our congregation during worship services and deliver weekly sermons and bible lessons;
- Visit our neighboring communities to share God’s Word and invite people to our church services;
- Coach and mentor the children under our care to help them develop leadership skills and Christian values;
- Organize events in our facility such as VBS, summer camps, etc.

Ang ministro sa among kongregasyon sa simbahan ni Kristo (church of Christ) maoy gitahasan nga:
- mangulo sa among pagsimba matag semana pinaagi sa pag-andam ug paghatag ug sermon ug mga Bible lessons.
- magtudlo sa mga bata isip mentor aron mahimong lider ang mga bata ug molampus sila sa ilang tagsa-tagsa ka kinabuhi.
- mobisita sa mga silingang komunidad aron mag-evangelize o magpaambit sa pulong sa Ginoo ug dasigon sila nga mo-apil sa among mga pagsimba.
- mag-organisa sa mga kalihokan sa among misyon sama sa VBS, summer camp, etc.
Qualifications
The job of the Minister in our mission facility is a full-time position with salary and benefits. The following are the qualifications and responsibilities:
- Member of the church of Christ (required). Miyembro sa simbahan ni Kristo (church of Christ).
- Bible college graduate (preferred). Naka-eskuwela ka sa usa ka Bible college.
- Must be dependable, responsible, computer literate
- Able to prepare and deliver sermons/bible class lessons
- Evangelism experience (preferred)
- Must be able to develop/mentor children/teach children to be leaders
- Song leading/teaching ability a plus
- Must be able to plan and execute unique events such as VBS, Summer Camp
- Salary dependent on experience
- Housing not provided
- Some meals provided

About the Minister Position
The Minister position is an essential part of the mission. This is a full-time job at the CEA mission and as such, the Minister is entitled to receive a monthly salary and all benefits mandated by law.
For this position, we seek to employ a young member of the church of Christ who is serious about spreading the Word of God and bringing people to Christ. The minister is highly adaptable and trainable to become a leader of our church of Christ community and diligent in evangelizing to the community.
To succeed in this position, you must be willing and able to lead the members in our small church of Christ congregation at CEA in our worship services, deliver weekly sermons and bible lessons, and reach out to the people in the surrounding communities to share the Word of God and invite them to our services. As our mission is focused on helping and nurturing children, you are expected to provide Bible-based advice and mentor the children to become leaders and upright members of the church of Christ.
Leading a church of Christ congregation is not not an easy job. There will always be challenges and frustrations but if you’re determined and inspired to evangelize for Christ, there are no insurmountable difficulties.
