Temporary Church Worship Structure

Project Status: COMPLETED
Completion Date: March 2, 2020
First Worship Service: March 15, 2020

PROJECT UPDATE: We thank all our donors who helped us complete this project. The temporary church meeting tent was completed in early March and we had our first official church of Christ worship service at the Casa Esperanza of Angels mission last March 15, 2020. Please see photos below for details on the work from start to finish:

The establishment of a thriving Church of Christ congregation in Tanjay City is our primary mission here at Casa Esperanza of Angels Philippine Mission.

In line with this mission, we have contracted a welder to build us a 6 meter X 12 meter (18’x36’) tent to use as a temporary structure to have worship services (open to the public) while we continue raising funds to build the proposed multi-purpose pavilion, which will eventually become the permanent church structure inside our mission.

At this point, we are prioritizing this project because we feel that our church-building work should take center stage and should be started as soon as possible. We have contracted an individual to complete the canvas part of our church tent structure and expect him to finish it soon. We will also be working on backfill for the floor of the tent.

Once completed, the temporary tent structure will be used to:

  • host worship services inside the mission facility.
  • host meetings of members of churches of Christ in the province of Negros Oriental to help plan and expand our evangelism activities in Tanjay City.
  • host community outreach activities that we periodically conduct to benefit our neighboring communities.
  • host Sunday school activities that we’re planning to regularly conduct in line with our Child Education and Youth Ministry program.
  • host seminar workshops that are designed to impart important livelihood skills to family breadwinners from our surrounding communities.

We’re looking forward to conduct worship services in the tent soon! We feel that this will be a big leap forward in our church of Christ establishment program here in Tanjay City!

How You Can Help

We are requesting donations toward getting the tent equipped with:

  • furnishings such as chairs, song books, lighting, fans.
  • If you are able to help we are also working to secure adequate monthly support to hire a full time local minister to begin our outreach/evangelism program to the community!

Thank you so much for your continued support of Casa Esperanza of Angels Philippine Mission.
