Accountant/Bank account

A few months ago we were introduced to Aaron Schwartz from Rogersville, Missouri. Aaron attends the Water Mill church of Christ and is a CPA. He has taken over the bookkeeping for Philippine Mission at no cost to us! This is a huge blessing and truly a big help to our mission work!

With Aaron’s help we have set up a new bank account that has more services we will need as we are now near to opening the doors of the orphanage part of our mission for operation. We will maintain the Citizen’s Bank account a bit longer to give donors a chance to make the change to the new account.

Here are the new bank details and address for sending donations.

All checks should still be payable to: Philippines Mission Inc.

Checks should be mailed to:

Please contact us by email at rbrown406@hotmail.com so I can provide you with the relevant bank information to complete the process. You can also call our accountant, Aaron Schwartz, CPA, at 816-309-9286 for the information. Thank you so much for your support.

The Starfish Story

An old man was walking on the beach one morning after a storm. In the distance, he could see someone moving like a dancer. As he came closer, he saw that it was a young woman picking up starfish and gently throwing them into the ocean.

“Young lady, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?”

“The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I do not throw them in they will die,” she said.

“But young lady, do you not realize that there are many miles of beach and thousands of starfish? You cannot possibly make a difference.”

The young woman listened politely, then bent down and picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea. “It made a difference for that one”, she said.

There are an estimated 1.8 million orphans in the Philippines. We cannot save them all … but we can make a difference for some.

Will you please consider sponsoring a child? For $35 dollars a month you can make a profound difference in a child’s life today!

Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
