US Travels And Other Updates – April 2018 Newsletter

Since we arrived in the US back in mid-March, we have been traveling and giving presentations on our Philippine Mission work.

We have been excited to visit and worship with a number of congregations thus far that we have not attended before. We have been honored to have stayed in homes of good Christians and enjoy their exceptional hospitality.

We are also very thankful for the donations we have already received to assist us in this work of expanding HIS kingdom in the Philippines.
We request your prayers for our safety as we continue to travel and for receptive hearts to the plight of children and others in need in the Philippines.

Construction Update

While we are here in the US the construction work in the Philippines continues but on a much smaller scale than usual.

A couple of laborers are working on some manual labor projects that do not require much supervision as well as caring for the fruit trees and other plants on the property while we are away.

Our welder/roof installer is working on the guard house roof and we are hoping that will be completed upon our return.

What’s next?

Once we return home to the Philippines toward the end of May we will once again be inundated with many tasks to keep us busy!

While cutting grass and restoring the grounds to their previous state will be on the list of things to do; pushing forward with the construction will be the primary focus.

We will be working to complete the two essential major infrastructure projects: electrical and water distribution. We will also continue work on the first children’s home so it can be ready for children and house parents once it is functional and ready.

We will also be working on the church incorporation process. This is essential for the spiritual health of our orphanage staff and children, but equally important for the community.
