Our CEA Family is Growing … AGAIN! | July 2020 Newsletter

Our first children’s home is nearing full capacity with 12 needy children now under Philippine Mission’s Orphan Care Program. We only have 4 boys beds empty at this time. But we need your help! Since our last newsletter we have added three more children to the first children’s home. Welcome Arvin, Marevic, and Jovelyn!

New children at CEA July 2020

We currently need more sponsors! Please contact us if you would like to sponsor a child, but are not doing so already. Maybe you know someone else that might be interested in sponsoring a child. The cost is only $35 a month, but for these children … it is priceless! You will be providing them with clothes, food, housing, medical/dental services as needed, and an education — secular but most importantly, biblical. You will receive quarterly updates on your child.

Please contact us to begin sponsoring a child!

Construction Update

The tile installation of the second children’s home in coordination with Save Asian Souls is underway and will be completed soon! We are also installing the doors as well.

Following the installation of the tile and doors, we will be painting the interior/exterior of the home followed by window installation.

We have already had to turn away one female child as all the girls rooms are full in the first home. This second home will house 24 girls vulnerable to human trafficking. Human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children is rampant in SE Asia and the Philippines.

We are still seeking donations towards the multi-purpose game court for the children’s playground. We are just over half way towards our goal of $2,500 for this project. We hope to start work on this soon, as the children are anxious for their playground!

We See It Already!

The children of CEA come from various situations … abandoned by mother/parents to live with their aging grandparents, parents in jail or dead, living in situations that are risky, or living in such poverty they have no hope for a future. It is our mission to first teach them about God and His love for them. They are learning this already.

Each week we have bible lessons with the children, they are learning songs and hymns, and lessons on kindness, gratitude, taming the tongue, and common curtesy among other topics. They are also learning which behaviors are not acceptable.

In a short time we have begun to see the changes in them. Yes, they still break the rules often, and need constant supervision…but they are learning and making improvements all the time.

We also now have 3 volunteer teachers teaching the children lessons in Math, English, Social Studies, and various other subjects since we are not able to send them to school due to quarantine restrictions. We are very thankful they are donating their time to teach the children!

Thanks to all our sponsors/donors/supporters/volunteers that these children are learning about God and other subjects, and seeing a much brighter future for themselves spiritually and while here on this earth.

Lives are being changed…because of YOU!

2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
